Northeast Times Names July’s Most Wanted

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detectives Division has released its latest monthly Five Most Wanted list. The suspects named on the wanted list include:

Joseph Donahoe, 51, of the 10900 block of Waldemire Drive, for a series of theft-related charges.

Donahoe allegedly walked into a local car dealership on June 2 and bought a car on credit using a false Social Security number and employment information. The number he allegedly used belonged to a dead man of the same name. Officers from the 15th Police District later recovered the abandoned vehicle with its wheels missing.

Donahoe is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds. His has gray or partially gray hair and brown eyes and may have a full moustache and beard.

Barry Edward Donnelly, 45, address unknown, for theft, criminal trespass, weapons violations and drug possession.

Donnelly allegedly stole $100 cash, a handgun and prescription pills from family members with whom he was staying at the time. The crimes occurred on May 9. Donnelly was confronted about the thefts and fled, relatives said.

He is considered armed and dangerous. He is white, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 245 pounds. He has brown hair, green eyes and a band-style tattoo on his left upper arm.

Robert Hampton, 22, of the 2800 block of W. Cumberland St., for robbery, burglary, criminal trespass and related offenses.

On March 22, shortly after noon, Hampton allegedly forced his way into a relative’s apartment on the 7500 block of Calvert St., stole $1,000, threatened the relative and fled.

Hampton has several aliases, police said, including James Major, Maurice Hampton, Riheem Lewis and Abdullah Yayahkhayri. He is black, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his right cheek and may have a full beard.

George Stem, 33, address unknown, for escaping Philadelphia prison custody.

On June 29, at about 2:40 p.m., Stem was on a low-security work detail outside the House of Corrections, 8101 State Road, when he allegedly left the site without permission by running toward the nearby Pennypack Creek.

According to Philadelphia police, the prison system notified police at 3:35 p.m. Northeast Detectives learned of it at 4:05 p.m. At the time, Stem was serving a county sentence for a burglary conviction.

He is white, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. His hair is brown and eyes are blue.

Joseph Vangoethem, 26, of the 8400 block of Torresdale Ave., for theft, weapons offenses and related charges.

On May 18, between 4 and 6 a.m., Vangoethem allegedly broke out a window of a truck parked outside his home and stole a loaded 9mm pistol, along with a box of ammunition and other items. The victim lived at the same location.

Vangoethem is considered armed and dangerous. He is white, 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
