“Hallowed Ground… For the Heroes to Rest”

Philadelphia Daily News chronicles Shanksville.

Natalie Ruschell, who is blind, gently ran her fingers over the keepsakes left at the makeshift memorial on the hill last week, comforted by the sound of American flags flapping in the wind sweeping from the surrounding Allegheny Mountains.

"The sound of the flags gives you a feeling of somberness, yet of hope that we're going to be OK," said Ruschell, who was visiting the Flight 93 crash site from Pittsburgh. "This place touches me because of what I can't see but what I can feel. This is hallowed ground - such a peaceful place for the heroes to rest."
